Xpey – Red Cedar

Xpey was a vital tool in the everyday lives of Quw’utsun people. Elders talk about how the inner bark could be worked into a textile that was soft enough that it was used as a liner for baby boards and diapers.

Important Note: Shared with respect for Coast Salish healing traditions. Please consult a healthcare or traditional wellness provider before using plants medicinally.
